7:15 - 8:15 pm

$100 per 12-week session

Introduces you to this energetic music and dance form from southern Spain! You'll learn basic flamenco dance technique including footwork, arm and hand movements and rhythmic clapping. No previous experience required to join this group! Special Flamenco footwear requirements will be recommended on the first class. Besides footwear, there is no specific dress code for weekly group classes - just wear something comfortable to move in!

$130 per 12-week session

Designed for more experienced flamenco students, these classes will improve flamenco dance technique through more advanced footwork, arm movement and rhythmic clapping. There is continued emphasis on style, clarity and precision. Students will study a range of flamenco rhythms and learn associated choreography. 

Take place at the same time as dance classes - we provide the live accompaniment for classes!

This is designed for:

• Guitarists: Must bring your own nylon string guitar and capo. Requirements: must play fingerstyle guitar, read tablature and/or music.

• Cajón players: Must bring your own instrument.

• Palmeros: Must have two hands!

Participants will learn to accompany some Flamenco dances and rhythmic sequences on their instruments and with palmas. Dances could include Farruca, Sevillanas, Alegría, Soleá, and/or Bulerías.
